2003 Alfa Romeo 147 GTA

2003 Alfa Romeo 147 GTA imported from Germany with barely 113028km on the odometer. Prepped with upgraded chassi parts, exhaust system and LSD.

The Alfa Romeo 147 GTA was released in response to the absolute hot-hatch hysteria of the 00s. All car manufacturers wanted to build a hot hatch in the Golf class and Alfa Romeo's answer was perhaps more extreme than the competition. Ford released the Focus RS with a whopping 212hp and quaife differential up front to handle the power, Volkswagen released the Golf R32, an all-wheel drive Golf with six cylinders that delivered around 230hp.

In response to these two forementioned, Alfa Romeo swooped in and shoehorned their beautiful 3.2-liter V6 into their smallest car, the 147. The result? An absolute beast for its time with 250 hp, a 0-100 sprint of approx. 6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. The model was received with mixed feelings, but is today a collector's car due to low volume and an absolutely special aura about it.

Equipped with, among other things, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, A/C and period-typical CD stereo. The car has also been upgraded with the following:

Thicker rear anti-roll bar
Front strut
Novitec exhaust system
Infotainment with apple carplay/android carplay

The body comes in a consistently well maintained condition, and is of course free of rust. No renovations have been carried out on the car. The glass has a small stone chip on the right side, but nothing that obstructs the field of view. The paintwork is described as being in good condition and appears to have been taken care of over the years. According to information from the seller, the paint has been renovated in 2018-2019. However, the front and hood have the usual small stone chips. There are no remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems. No comments have been received on headlamp or brakelights either. There is a small bump in the roof just behind the antenna.

The interior of the car is also in a well-maintained condition. Notable is some scuffing on the left edge of the driver's seat, normally from stepping in and out. There is also some rubbing on the steering wheel and minor marks on the door sides. Otherwise, controls and buttons are in good condition. Everything works as it should in the cabin.

The beautiful Alfa V6-engine comes in a good condition and no leaks have been noted. Both engine and gearbox are described by the current owner as being in very good condition. Brakes as well. The rims have a few small scratches in the paint but no bad damage from impact or anything else.

Well maintained with proper services and well looked after with plenty of documentation from the past years. Last service was performed at 110640km at JRS Motor in Östersund. Last MOT took place on 2023-08-28.

One of the absolute coolest hot hatches of the 00s. Above all for the absurdly beautiful engine and its sound. Top example with few miles on the clock, perfect options and a colour combination that will make any Ronnie Peterson fan smile!
