The absolute culmination of Honda's fun-to-drive front- wheel drive cars is the 90s, with, among others, the Honda Civic, Integra and Prelude but also the more unusual CRX. After the Fast & the Furious movie was released in 2001, interest in Japanese cars exploded in Sweden. Many Honda, Mitsubishi, Toyota and other previously uninteresting cars were suddenly bought by the youth, modified and driven too fast through the industrial areas of Stockholm suburbs during hot summer nights. Imports also increased drastically, and Sweden suddenly had several legendary cars such as the Nissan Skyline and Toyota Supra in garages. The 2000s era of Japanese fanaticism has led to the fact that today it is almost impossible to find a low mileage and pristine Japanese GTI car in Sweden, especially a domestically sold one.
Bidders Highway has honour of auctioning off something as fantastic as a domestically sold Honda CRX with an incredibly low 5082km on the odometer!
With its incredibly low 5082km on the odometer, this unique time capsule might be Sweden's absolute best-preserved Honda CRX? The car in question is a 1989 CRX that the current owner bought new. The owner has always been fascinated by the CRX and has had several CRX’es, and thus been given the epithet "CRX family" by a newspaper. Stepping into the car is like traveling back to 1989 and the fantastic condition reminds us of the short distance the car has been driven. The exterior is in a just as incredibly condition and it is almost hard to understand how well preserved a car can be. This example is the car for you who want to be the first to put a service stamp on a 35-year-old car, want to forget the present and be brought back to the happy 90s, but without the stock market crash and the awful mortgage interest rates!
For those of you who are interested in something as unique and well preserved as this Honda CRX, the auction starts on Wednesday 14/8 and ends on Wednesday 21/8 at 20:00!
