Basic information and History

Domestically sold and very well-documented Volvo Amazon from 1966. The car has only had two owners within the same family and has only been driven during summer. During winter, the car has always been parked in a warm garage, ever since it was new. Documentation includes service book, warranty book, PV warranty, driving record, Volvo Amazon's instruction book, inspection certificate, old tax receipt, address plate, Backspegeln newspaper, Jämtland veterans club newspaper with a report from the year 2021 with car and current owner. Current odometer reads 22561km and can be guaranteed by current owner.

Equipped with 1.8-liter B18A of approx. 75hp connected to a 4-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.

Condition

The condition of the body is described by the owner as flawless. The body is free of rust, dents, worse scratches and door knocks. In the 60s, the left front screen was replaced due to a minor crash. The cross member on the left side was replaced in 2022. Chrome, moldings and lamp glass are described as being in very good condition. The rims are free of damage, but with light age wear and the tires with approx. 4mm pattern depth on it. Spare tire is in the luggage.

The general condition of the interior is described as good. Material on seats and back seat is in good condition, but there is a slight crack in the upholstery of the passenger seat, on the top right corner of the backrest and a very small crack on the driver's side backrest. Door panels and door sills in good condition. Instrument panel has dry cracks. Interior roof in good condition and with small old repairs and puncture damage. Steering wheel, buttons and controls in good condition without damage. All functions in the cabin work fine.

Engine condition is described as good. Manifold gasket replaced and valves adjusted in 2011. Receipt for this is available. In the same year, shock absorbers were changed and the clutch and handbrake were adjusted. Gearbox and drivetrain without remark. Brakes are described as being in good condition.

Service history

Change of oil and filter took place in 2022. Service book is not completed according to intervals, which is normal considering the age. The car's documentation includes a driving record for the years 1966 to 1968, March 21.

Summary

A well-documented example of the Volvo Amazon. The current owner inherited the car from his aunt, who only drove the car in the summer between the home area and the country estate. After the current owner inherited the car in 2021, it has been driven in Jämtland and Dalarna in the summer. On the towbar is a small caravan, Opio, come along on various mushroom picking and meetings. The team has been appreciated and admired by many!
