1970 Volkswagen T1
Basic information and history
Volkswagen T1 from 1970 imported from Brazil in 2023. The car has been completely renovated and is today in a very nice condition, ready to use. Current owner is the only owner of Swedish land. This T1 is equipped with both safari windows, samba windows and a large ragtop! The interior has a rock'n'roll bed that can be folded down to sleep in, and the front sofa can be turned to face each other. The car is also prepared for air suspension in the front wheel arches. Since the renovation was completed, the car has only gone back and forth for inspection.
- Completely refurbished Volkswagen T1
- Safari window, samba window and large ragtop
Equipped with a 1.6-liter boxer four of approx. 50hp connected to a 4-speed gearbox and rear wheel drive.
Condition
During a complete renovation, the body and chassis were sanded clean. Some new sheet metal had to be used, but most of the sheet metal is the existing one. The body is of course free of dents, worse scratches and other boring things. New paint was applied after sheet metal work and is today in very good condition. Glass panes are new from the factory. The rims have been newly renovated in the body colors and new tires have been fitted. Chrome in excellent condition.
The interior is brand new and the work has been done by saddle makers. The inner ceiling is also completely new. Steering wheel made of precious wood is installed. All functions in the cabin work as intended.
Engine is completely overhauled and has been taken down to its components and built up with, in principle, only new parts. The block is obviously renovated. Gearbox is fully serviced. The brakes are also new on the car. Mechanically, everything works perfectly.
Summary
Completely overhauled and renovated T1 from 1970, perfect for those who appreciate nice public buses!
