Basic information and history
Domestically sold classic, Scania Vabis L71 from 1956 with only three previous owners, two of them in the same family. The truck has mainly been used for transporting milk in Skaraborg County. The first two owners belonged to the same family and used the truck between 1956 and 1973. The car remained in the same family until 2011 when it was sold to a new owner. He began restoration, blasted and painted the chassis and renovated the brake system. Unfortunately, the renovation ended due to illness and current owner purchased the truck in 2017 and has now finished this amazing workhorse to exquisite condition!
Equipped with Scania's D642 direct injection diesel on 6 cylinders and with an effect of approx. 150 hp.

Condition
The body is described as being in very good condition and has undergone an extensive renovation of the cab and body. New parts are, among other things, the flat bed that has been welded with sheet metal cladding and received new limbs. The truck has of course also been repainted during the renovation and is in very good condition and free of dents, worse scratches and other annoyances. Glass panes are described as being in good condition for its age. Chrome, moldings and lamp glass are all in good condition. Most of the chrome has been re-chromed. The rims are free of damage and the drive tires have very good tread, the front tires are described as OK.
The interior is described as being in very good condition. Seats, door panels and steps without damage. Instrument panel in as good condition as the rest. The interior roof is original and in good condition. Steering wheel, buttons and controls are in perfect condition. All electronics and functions in the passenger compartment work as intended.
Engine is described as being in very good condition and is easy to start, even during the cold winter months. Gearbox and auxiliary box work perfectly. The clutch, on the other hand, can chop slightly if the truck is parked for longer periods. The braking action is very good and the brakes were renovated by the previous owner in 2012. Mechanically, of course, everything works as it should.
Summary
A very well maintained and nicely renovated Swedish classic that helped build Sweden for many years. Take the chance to bid on a nice example of L71!
