- SAAB 9000 CS Aero 2.3T from 1996 in an exceptionally good condition
- Only two users since new
- Barely 101.700km on the odometer!
Equipped with a 2.3-liter turbocharged four of approx. 225hp connected to a 5-speed manual box and front-wheel drive. Performance figures offer a 0-100km/h sprint in under 7 seconds and a top speed of approx. 240km/h.
Equipment and options
The car is equipped with, among other things, engine and interior heaters, removable towbar (apparently never used by the current or previous owner judging by the condition), center armrest, Sony audio system with CD changer, electric seat for both driver and passenger, ACC, and airbag also for the passenger.
Condition
The general condition of the bodywork is very nice. The body is not modified and of course fee from rust. It is also free from worse scratches, door knocks or dents. Front spoiler has minor wear from the miles, but nothing glaringly bad. On the driver's door there is a small mark above the handle. The car is therefore unrestored and has not been repainted due to damage or wear. The front window is the original window and has only minor wear, but no cracks or marks from stone chips. Moldings and emblems in very good condition. The car's rims are in very good condition and the tires have rolled approx. 5000 km. It comes with a set of 15" Aero rims with older summer tires.
The interior is also in very nice condition. The chairs are in very good condition with only a little age wear. The leather has been regularly greased and has therefore never cracked. Inner ceiling is in very good condition. Steering wheel, buttons and controls as well. All functions in the passenger compartment work as intended, but not the central lock on the passenger side front door. It has not been fixed as the door panel needs to be removed and the current owner does not wish to destroy the original gluing. The first owner took the opportunity to install a Sony unit with an 8-disc CD changer. The outside rearview mirror on the driver's side is touch-up painted with black paint because it got a scratch mark in the paint in a parking lot. Engine is described as flawless with no leaks or malfunctions. Driveline and gearbox as well. The brakes were repaired for approx. 10 years ago and the handbrake was adjusted last year. Mechanically, the car is fully functional.
Service history
The current owner says that the car was last serviced in 2023 with an oil change. Performed by SAAB specialist, former foreman at SAAB workshop. A major service was carried out a few years ago with the replacement of several of the fluids. The first owner serviced the car annually. SAAB workshop Anetorn Bil in Sandviken has also taken care of the car during its years on the road. The last approved inspection was carried out on 2023-11-06 and virtually all inspection protocols from 2002 until 2023 are available.
Summary
An exquisite example of the SAAB 9000 CS Aero 2.3T for those who appreciate Swedish quality from the 90s.
