Basic information and History
The 944 model was one of Porsche's most successful production models when it went on sale. The Porsche 944 was launched back in 1982 and was produced until 1991. This is one of the very last models of the Porsche 944 and also a model that was produced in only 546 examples, making it one of the rarest Porsche models. The engine is a straight four of 2.5L with turbo and produces a whopping 250 hp. The Porsche 944 also had a fully galvanized body, so the cars have no known problems with rust.
This example is from model year 1991 and was imported from Switzerland to Sweden already in 1993. The car has had 4 owners in Sweden and the seller has owned it since 2008 and despite its age the car is in very good condition and has very low miles for the model!
Condition
Exterior: The seller says that the car is in very good condition on the outside apart from a couple of very small marks and a slightly semi-matt rear window which is documented in the album. The original wheels are in good condition with a couple of minor edge scratches. The tires have approx. 5mm pattern and there are no remarks on glass parts, moldings or emblems. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!
Interior: The really nice original interior is apparently in very good condition and without any complaints. The black interior contrasts really well with the white paint and is a really classic color combination. The instrument panel and controls are free of marks or signs of wear. All gauges and other functions in the interior are in a good and working condition. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!
Mechanics: The car runs very well mechanically and according to the seller "feels just like new". There are no noted remarks on the engine or drivetrain. The car was last inspected on 2022-06-14 without any comments. Cam belt has been changed, but already in 2008. The car has only driven 300 miles since then. Please see all the photos in the album.
Summary
Porsche's transaxle models have gained a real boost in popularity, with the 944 model standing out as one of the better sports cars produced during the 80s and 90s. With an almost perfect weight distribution and a torquey machine under the hood, this is a recipe for pure driving pleasure. The perfect summer car for those who want a 2+2 seater summer car but also convertible options. This example is also one of the very rare turbo models which will make this an even better investment in the future.

1. Har denna bil katalysator på avgassystemet? 2.
Hur många tidigare ägare i Schweiz?
1. På Porsche verkstäder. 2. Ja. 3. Det var en svensk bankman som var i Geneve som gick förbi en bilhandel en vacker vårdag. I skyltfönstret såg han en Porsche. Vad fin den är och jag känner inte igen modellen. Så han gick in och köpte den och tog hem den till Sverige.
