Basic Information and History


Pontiac's answer to the Ford Mustang, the Firebird. A real muscle car classic in nicely restored condition.

This is a car from Firebird's coveted generation 1. In 1969, the Pontiac Firebird and its sibling the Camaro also received an extensive facelift with many new updates, and is now one of the most attractive year models. This model also has the biggest engine option, the coveted 400 motor with some extra grunt over  the standard 350 engine.

Sold new in the US with only 6 previous owners.

Equipment and Options


Blue metallic with black upholstery and dark wood veneer on the center console and dashboard.
Pontiac's classic 400 engine with its bright blue engine block drives the rear wheels via an automatic transmission. The power output is about 330 horsepower.

The car still sits on its original rims.

Condition


Exterior:
There is no direct damage to the bodywork and the car is now described as rust-free except for minor blisters. Parts of the body have been renovated with replacement of floor halves and rear fenders.

The paintwork is described as good but not in flawless condition with some stone chips and scratches. The seller states that the paintwork was renovated in 2009. The car presents itself very well overall. Glass, f,ittings and chrome are in very good original condition.

The tires and wheels are still in good condition with a measured tire depth of 8mm.

Interior
The interior is in good condition but shows some signs of age but without damage. Front seats, carpets, and headliner are new.
The instrument panel is in good condition and all gauges and lighting work as they should.

Mechanics
The seller has no comments on the car's mechanics. Everything works as it should and no leaks or bad noises are noted. Brake pads and drums are stated as "almost new".
