Basic information and history
Mercedes-Benz 450 SL from 1974 with approx. 224421 guaranteed kilometers on the odometer. The car has only had 10 owners over the years, but how many of these are users versus dealers cannot be ascertained. The current owner bought the car back in 2012 and has been renovating the car for some time, which, among other things, has had the sheet metal cleaned before a new paint job, as well as having the interior re-stitched and seats reupholstered. As can be seen in the pictures, the hardtop is included. Total amount spent on paint and renovation amounts to approx. SEK 105,000 and pictures from when the car was sheet metal included.

Equipped with a 4.5-liter V8 of approx. 225hp/370nm connected to a 3-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
Condition
The general condition of the bodywork is described as very good after rust repair and repainting. Body is free of dents, worse scratches and door knocks. The body is free of rust. Glass panes and lamp glass are described as being in good condition. The chrome on the front bumper has surface damage and marks. The chrome strip at the bottom of the hardtop has various discolourations and damage, and it is loose on the right side, towards the door. Hardtop also has bubbles in the paint under the right rear window, several scratches all around and paint damage at the front edge of the window. The rims are free of damage and the tires are described as being in OK condition.
The period brown interior is in good condition. The chairs are reupholstered and free of damage. Door sides are reupholstered and in good condition. The instrument panel is free of typical dry cracks and other wear and looks very nice. The steering wheel, buttons and controls are in good condition. The inner roof of the hardtop is dirty but sits where it should. The soft top is described as being in good condition.
The engine is described as running well, as is the gearbox. The brakes are in good condition with no remarks during the inspection. Mechanically, everything works as intended.
Service history
The owner, who has had the car since 2012, has serviced it himself. Unfortunately, there is no documentation on this. Last inspection took place on 2024-05-14.
