Basic information and History
The Marcos GT is a classic sports car manufactured by Marcos Engineering, a British car manufacturer. The Marcos GT was introduced in 1964 and was in production until 1971. It was known for its distinctive design and performance.
The Marcos GT had a sleek and low-slung body with a fastback roofline. It was built on a steel chassis with a fiberglass body, which contributed to its lightweight construction.
Under the hood, the Marcos GT was powered by a number of different engines, in this version a 3.0-liter Ford 6 that generates about 140 hp. What characterizes the car is equipped with a 3.0L engine is that the hood is raised to accommodate it.
The Marcos GT became popular for its impressive performance and unique design. It was a rare and sought-after car, with relatively few units produced during its manufacture.
This copy was registered in 1986 in Sweden and has had 5 users.
Equipment and Options
Tube frame chassis, adjustable pedal stand. The car is very analogue, so there is not much equipment beyond what is necessary for traffic safety.
4 speed manual box.
Electric lifts.
Mini light rims.
Condition
The car underwent a major renovation of the body and chassis a little more than 5 years ago. The car underwent a full paint job on the body.
The seller has noted cracks in the fiberglass body and refers to the image material.
Service history
There is no previous service history. But the entire driveline was reviewed in connection with the renovation about 5 years ago.
Summary
A small and light English sports car that is truly analog in its driving style, which contributes to enormous driving pleasure.
