Basic information and History

The Ford Mustang is undoubtedly a well-known name to most people, the world's first "pony car" and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The model was available in a variety of versions, coupe, fastback and cabriolet, among others. and could be supplied with a plethora of different engines. This generation is also one of the most sought after on the market thanks to its timeless design but also fine road characteristics.

This example is a 1967 model with an upgraded V8 of 305ci (5.0L) and came to Sweden already in 2008 from California where it had only one owner and was stored for 28 years. On returning to Sweden, the seller gave the car a full paint job as the original paint had some minor scratches and the like, but all the sheet metal is original. The seller also did the engine upgrade as well as the installation of a much appreciated Tremec T5 manual transmission. The seller is the only owner in Sweden and has driven it very sparingly over the years and it has always been in a warm garage when not in use.


Condition

Exterior: The car is in fantastically good condition externally with no complaints. The car was repainted in 2009 during the seller's inspection and also the chrome details have an almost flawless and a fantastic luster. The polished Crager rims are also in very good condition with no complaints and give the car an aggressive and sporty look. All glass panes and moldings are in the same fine condition as the rest. Interior: The interior upholstery appears to be in very good condition and also without remarks. The black interior contrasts really well with the paint and the combination is just the icing on the cake. The dash and newer center console have some minor marks from use but present themselves in very good condition. The controls are apparently original controls in good condition and all gauges and other functions in the interior work and the number currently stands. at about a low 34,857 miles (about 5100mil) and is guaranteed by the seller. Mechanics: The seller informs that the entire driveline including engine, gearbox and rear axle works flawlessly and runs fantastically on the road. The engine is basically a 289 bored out to 305ci with all the necessary accessories and gives about 400hp. The box is now a more modern Tremec T5 which sits in, among other things, the SN95 generation and gives a fantastic feeling behind the wheel. A really popular classic in fantastically good condition with a little extra push and a unique history. It's a really beautiful American sports car/pony car that works just as well on curvy country roads as it does on a cruise around town and attracts attention wherever you go! Fine examples and with such a fine history as this do not grow on trees and if you are looking for a "turn-key" American pony car for the coming season, this is a fantastic opportunity.
