1971 BSA Rickman Métisse 500
Basic information and history
Bidders Highway has been honoured to help sell a large collection of motorcycles, motocross and mopeds as the owner is unfortunately no longer able to drive them. Due to the condition of the owner, no questions can be asked about the objects. The information we managed to arrange is therefore slightly less than on our other objects. The objects have not been started by us.
The item in this auction can only be picked up on a specific date, Saturday 6/7 at 12.00. Please be understanding about this.
1971 BSA Rickman Métisse in very nice restored condition! The current owner has built the cross to the original look with various different parts. The frame is from a 69. Despite this, as there are few original parts left out there, the bike has been classified and approved for competition and ridden by the current owner, as always with driver number 57. Bengt Åberg has also performed the cross in a competition context. This is one of the last BSA made engines. The motorcycle has been standing still for a long time and needs a review and service before it is started up.
Condition
The blue paintwork is in very good condition with no race wear, as it has been refurbished in recent years and not raced since then. Frame and parts have patina from years gone by, but the overall impression is very nice. As previously mentioned, needs review and service before it is put into service again!
Please look through all photos carefully to form an idea of the condition. Unfortunately, questions cannot be asked about the objects as the owner is not able to answer.
Summary
500cc cross from famous Rickman Métisse. These bikes are highly sought after on the world market and are highly priced, especially in good condition. This specimen is looking for a new enthusiastic collector who can nurture and care for it!
The description of this auction item is, to the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
