Equipment and Options

- Tank in the bed.
Condition
The vehicle is in very good condition for its model year. It is equipped with an aftermarket chrome front bumper, but the original black bumper is also available. The hood has been modified to accommodate the supercharger and improve heat dissipation. According to the seller, there are no major dents or scratches. There is visible welding work on limited areas of the floor underneath. The radiator frame has a minor rust spot at the bottom, but no other major issues have been noted. The paint is generally in good condition, with some stone chips on the front and minor marks upon closer inspection. The car is painted matte black, but the original color was turquoise. The windows are in good condition, as are the chrome trim and headlamp lenses. There is a crack in the left front headlamp lens and some marks/pores on the chrome trim around the windows. The wheels are undamaged and the tires are in good condition.
The interior is in good condition, although somewhat Spartan. The floor mat is adapted for a full bench seat, meaning it does not cover the entire floor area between and behind the seats. Age-related wear is visible on the chrome door sills, but they are generally in good condition. The headliner is missing and replaced with a painted metal roof. The steering wheel, controls, and buttons are in good condition for their age. The window lift on the passenger side is not working, likely due to a broken cable, and the tachometer is not connected to the MSD system. The vehicle has electrically operated separate seats and a tilt steering column.
Engine and Powertrain
The engine is in good condition and built in Sweden. It is a Chevrolet Bigblock 427" Talldeck, stroked to 496", with a complete SCAT crankshaft assembly that is balanced and installed in Sweden, with documentation for balancing and dyno testing. The engine is equipped with Merlin cast-iron heads with roller rockers, a BDS 8-71 supercharger, LT headers, MSD 6AL ignition, and an MSD distributor. It is dyno-tested to just under 700 hp and around 980 Nm with a mechanical fuel pump. The supercharger has been serviced and overhauled in Sweden. The transmission is a TH-400, and the rear axle is a GM 10-bolt with a limited-slip differential, mounted in a 4-link setup. The car has power steering (PS) and power brakes (PB) in good condition, although there is a slight vibration from the U-joint/driveshaft during acceleration, which may be addressed before sale.
Brakes
The brakes are in good condition, with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear from a 1984 GM truck.
Service History
- Oil change in the engine during summer 2024.
- Brake and balancing paperwork from 2021.
- Last passed inspection on 2021-07-16.
Summary
