The man behind the lines is Malcolm Sayer, a former aeronautical engineer who later became an aerodynamicist in the automotive industry. The stars must have aligned when he picked up the pen, as automotive design itself may have reached its pinnacle with the launch of the Jaguar E-Type. Its beauty has endured since it was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 1961.
This object is from the year 1969 and has been in the seller's possession for 17 years. He acquired it after posing a question to the then-owner.
– The car was in the same town as I lived in, the object's seller at Bidders Highway recounts. I always admired that car and have thought that it's so stylish. "The world's most stylish car," as one has heard of. And at some point, I said to the then-owner, "If you're going to sell it, you could let me know!"
This happened in the early 2000s, after which they established contact. A few years passed, and suddenly the phone rings. The then-owner explains that he's ready to sell.
– I had to go to the bank, I had no money then! But it went well. There was quite a bit to do with it back then, and I've invested a lot of money in it.

He mentions that the car has brought great joy and has been driven extensively during the years he's owned it.
– It's a fantastic car, and I hope it goes to someone who really uses the car, someone who isn't afraid to drive it. Someone who enjoys the driving experience because you really become one with the car.
Apart from rides on the winding roads in the forests of Småland over the years, he has several personal memories with the car to share. One stands out a bit more.
– My wife and I were heading to a car gathering on Öland, for English cars. On the way back, we swung by Kalmar and went to a toy store. Foolishly, we bought one of these large inflatable cushions, which the kids find fun to sit in. And it didn't fit in the trunk... My wife had to hold it on her lap the whole way home!
