It's easy to get tangled up in the various designations with both numbers and model names associated with the base model 1750, which actually originates from the 105/115 series. Yes, you see.

Despite potential confusion regarding its nomenclature, there is one point on which the majority agrees: the sporty Bertone Coupé is a beauty that appears to transcend eras and trends. For the seller of this unique item on Bidders Highway, it all began with a 1750.

The car underwent a complete overhaul, including bodywork and paint, approximately 10 years ago and is still in the same excellent condition.

– I purchased my Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV in 1990, and it was my first car," he recalls. "My brother had a 1750 when I was 14 years old, and I was completely captivated by it. It's the same body.

The seed had been planted. He told his brother that he would buy a similar one when he was old enough to get his driver's license.
– And so it happened! When I bought the car, I was still in military service and used it as a daily driver for 6-7 years.

The Bertone-designed interior is in good condition, with new Alfaholics vinyl upholstery on the passenger seat and rear seats.

Afterward, the decision was made to perform a complete restoration, which was easier said than done since he didn't have a garage. The renovation plans were put on hold, and life got in the way - it would be almost ten years before the restoration began.
– We built a house here in Falun, and suddenly we had a garage," he continues. "So, we moved the car from Stockholm. And then I could start taking it apart. I've taken it completely apart. I've done everything myself except for the paint.

The body was sanded down to the metal, which then received several new coats of red paint - fitting for an Italian car.
– When I saw the new paint for the first time, it looked like a candy cane! It was so shiny and beautiful. And yet, the clear coat hadn't even been applied yet.

It passed its inspection in June 2023 without any issues and is now both tax and inspection exempt.

It took about two years to complete the car, and it was built entirely according to the vision he had as a child - with sports seats, a Momo steering wheel, and GTA wheels.
– I hope the car goes to someone who has a passion for this body style. Ideally, someone who takes over, perhaps refines it further, and maybe has a different idea of how it should look inside. Unfortunately, the car has been sitting - I want someone to take over and come up with something exciting!
