Basic information and History

Domestically sold Volvo 245GL with an impressive 550,000km on the odometer with only one owner since new! The car is well equipped with, among other things, level regulation on the suspension and A/C. Considering the mileage, the car is in good used condition and, according to the owner, runs fine. Amazingly, there is only a little rust on the bodywork, which, given the mileage, confirms the owner's care of the car. The car has a fully stamped service book until 2015.

Equipped with Volvo's durable B230F of 115hp/185nm connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.

Equipment and Options

Well equipped with, among other things, level adjustment on the rear suspension as well as A/C and heated seats. There's also a tow bar, cargo rack and a set of retrofit fog lights for a hazy autumn morning.

Condition

Considering the mileage, the car is in good used condition. The car is free from worse dents, scratches and door knocks. There is a small amount of rust, including some rust on the inside of the rear wheel arches on both sides and some rust at the bottom of the left rear door. The paintwork is intact but starting to dull. The rear fender on the left side has been repainted below the moulding. The work was carried out by Volvo workshop and looks very good. Glass panes are unremarkable. The rims are free of damage and a set of new summer tires are fitted. The tires have only been driven a few miles in the summer of 2023. Winter tires are also included.

The interior is described as being in good condition. Seats and rear seat have held up very well and are fresh for their age. Door sides as well. There is minor wear and tear here and there, which is to be expected, but nothing glaringly bad. The outside temperature gauge does not work. Buttons, steering wheel and controls in good working order. The inner ceiling is nice. Except for the the outside temperature gauge, the stereo, A/C and other functions work as intended.

The engine is described by the owner as running very well. It has been a couple of hundred miles since the trip meter stopped working and it has thus rolled approx. 550,000 km. The gearbox and driveline are described as being in good condition, but the owner feels that the gear lever is somewhat "soft", but shifts fine. Mechanically, everything works as it should.

Service history

The car has a total of 19 service stamps in the book and extends from when it was new until 2015-10-05 when Bilia in Lund serviced the car. The last inspection was carried out in October 2022. The car comes with two extra front seats and two boxes of spare parts.

Swedish classic that has only had one owner since it was new! The car is in a nice used condition and has been well taken care of during the years the car has driven an impressive 550,000 km.
