1973 Volvo 144

Domestically sold Volvo 144 from 1973 with barely 100,761 km on the odometer and with a fantastically stylish colour combination. Meter setting can be guaranteed by the current owner. According to the current owner, the car has had 5 previous users in 2 different families, and has been retired between the years 1983 and 2012. The current owner bought the car from the last owner's family. The car comes in a nice original condition with various patina and milder wear from the years it has been in the two families.

Equipped with a B20A of 2 liters with approx. 82hp/160nm mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.

Extra equipped with an absolutely charming and time-correct Blaupunkt stereo with separate equalizer and cassette player. In addition, there are heating packages, ventilation windows and a towbar.

The car comes in very good used condition, given its age. The body is free of dents, worse scratches or door knocks. On the other hand, there are small spots of rust on the right rear side window, but otherwise the bodywork and paintwork have fared very well. According to the current owner, a new paint job was done sometime during the 80s, probably due to poor paint job from the factory. Glass panes are described as being in good condition. Headlight glass as well, but the left turn signal has a crack in it. The rims are freshly blasted and painted and have a set of new tires.

The general condition of the interior is described as good. Seat surfaces in good condition, but unfortunately a seam has loosened a little on the right front cushion. Door sides and step moldings in very good condition. Instrument panel, buttons and controls are in good condition. Inner ceiling as well. All functions in the cabin work as intended.

The condition of the engine is described by the owner as good. No noises in gearbox or driveline. The brakes are in good condition and a new brake cylinder and various hoses were installed in 2012 when the car was put back into service. Mechanically, everything works as intended.

The current owner has changed the oil and filter on 2021-04-15 and the water pump and glycol were changed in 2016. From 2012 onwards there are receipts for service and other work. All inspection protocols are available from 2012 until the last inspection which was carried out on 05/05/2022.
