1972 Volkswagen beetle cabriolet 1302 LS
There are many icons in the automotive world, but few as recognized and popular as the classic VW Beetle. That it was produced in over 23 million copies is a proof in itself, and most adults today have some personal memory with one of these fantastic cars! This fine object was imported to Sweden back in 1984 and since then has had three users who have taken good care of the car. The last owner bought the car in 1989 and drove it until 1994 when it was put away in his garage where it has been until 2022.
Condition
Exterior: A nice original car in good working condition that has not been used much, however, it has received some small blisters in the paintwork in some places. The car received a repaint sometime in the 80s in the original color as well as some minor rust repairs in i.a. the wheel arches on the "regular" areas that are often affected on this model. The rims are blasted and freshly painted and new tires are fitted.
Interior. Black vinyl interior in original design in very good condition. The inner ceiling is completely clean with no major complaints. The soft top has a very good fit and is in top condition.
Mechanical: Vibrant and easy-starting 1600 engine. Clutch/brakes etc feel good. New front brake calipers and rear wheel cylinders.
Service history
There is no service book for the car, but it has been well maintained when the car has been used. Delivered newly inspected and even then exempt from inspection forever!
Summary
If you want to own a real Folk Classic, this copy is for you. The recipe for these lovely little cars is simple, charm the outside world with their design and entice car enthusiasts with worry-free, uncomplicated ownership. The following of older VW cars never seems to die out and the interest is still great! This is an item you can enjoy and use the car without any major costs beyond normal maintenance. A very good purchase in our opinion!
