1987 Suzuki SJ413 A-traktor
Basic information and history
This Suzuki Samurai SJ413 is the second generation within the model family, and was introduced in 1981. This fantastic example from 1987 comes in the extremely rare, on Swedish soil, full sheet metal bodywork. In Sweden, they were only available with fabric or plastic roofs. According to the story, the previous owner moved from Iceland to Sweden, and then discovered that we don't have the sheet metal body here. He then traveled to Austria where this car was for sale and drove it home to Sweden. The car has currently had 3 previous owners and has driven 62740 km. Meter setting cannot be guaranteed, but the car has been well cared for over the years and many wear parts have been replaced.
On top of the car's fun history, it has also been converted into an A-tractor. In its current form, the car is also approved by the inspection/MOT. The car has been inspected and much has been replaced or rebuilt. The car has been rebuilt to be reclassified as an A-tractor. This is done by locking the gearbox. This can be rebuilt if you wish to use the car as a regular vehicle. Roof and details are painted black. Bumpers and mudguards are painted with matte bed-liner to withstand beatings. Suspension is raised and rebuilt with real quality parts, including stronger leaf springs, shock absorbers, shackles and poly bushings. Brake hoses are replaced and checked to match new height. Steering rack is rebuilt to reduce bump-steer and match longer suspension travel. Front and rear bumpers are custom made in metal. The interior has been rebuilt with, among other things, alcantara and quilted artificial leather. Grille is fitted to be approved as an A tractor. The stereo is built with, among other things, tweeters on the dashboard, 6.5" speakers on the sides and a subwoofer in the middle at the back.
Equipment and options
The car has received a lot of modernizations, including electric power steering, proper lift with quality parts, LED lights all around, diesel heater with remote control and extra battery and more.
- Porsche vintage Gulf RS blue paintwork 2022
- Upgraded stereo build

Condition
The car is described as being in good condition despite the car's age and area of use. In its current form, it has not been driven off-road. Various fixes and adjustments that can be read above have been carried out on the body. The repaint in blue was done in 2022. There is some rust here and there, but nothing that is bad in its condition, aesthetically unsightly or problems on an inspection. Glass parts are described as being in good condition.
The interior of the car is in good condition. New materials are in place and so is the ceiling. Buttons and controls are in normal condition. There are some paint chips on the doors, but nothing to worry about. One pocket sewn onto the chair has started to come loose. In the luggage there is an extra battery and diesel heater.
Mechanically, the car is described as working well. No leaks have been noted. In order to approve it as an A-tractor, the car has been locked in low gear, and 5th gear is locked. As previously mentioned, this can be removed if you wish to register the vehicle back to a regular passenger car. Current mileage is 62740km, but cannot be guaranteed.
Service history
The vehicle is continuously serviced by the current owner. Previous records are not available, but the condition and order indicate a well-maintained car. Last inspection was done on 2023-07-15. As previously mentioned, the car is approved in its current design.
Summary
A guaranteed outstanding doodlebug tractor that you are completely alone with! Current owners have had to get used to many thumbs up and questions about the car. The car is in generally good condition and perfect for rolling around and playing far too loud music in!
