1994 Nissan R32 GT-R
Nissan GT-R, the flagship model from Nissan that was dubbed “Godzilla” is one of the most sought after JDM cars. The model has been competed with great success in all forms of racing and has become even more famous thanks to Hollywood films, e.g. The Fast & Furious series. The car was praised for its incredible handling and has always been one of the fastest cars on the market when they released the various models. Packed with technology, including Attesa E-TS four-wheel drive and Super-Hicas four-wheel steering, the performance of these early models is still on par with today's sports cars. The model is even now possible to export/import to the USA thanks to the fact that it has recently crossed the 25-year mark.
This low mileage example is an R32 model that was manufactured between 1989 - 1994 and was imported from England to Sweden already in 2008 and has had 4 owners in Sweden. The car was registered new in England in 1994 and apparently had a few enthusiasts as owners over the years. These models are also very well known for responding very well to modifications and the majority today have some form of performance upgrade, although in this case relatively few with e.g. a MAXX Ecu, cat-back and refurbished original RB26 turbos good for about 400-450hp if desired.
Condition
Exterior: The seller says that the car is in a very nice refurbished condition with no major complaints. The car was painted in 2020 and is of course completely rust-free and without any marks on the glass, moldings or emblems. It has an N1 kit on it and Gurney flap in carbon fiber on the rear wing. Any remarks are documented in the album, so see our detailed pictures there and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!
Interior: The sporty original upholstery and interior are in fine original condition with no major complaints other than some general wear from normal use and a minor tear in the passenger seat. Interior is completely original in addition to carpets and that there is also a more modern stereo including bass box in the car. The instrument panel and the rest of the interior are in good condition with no major complaints. All controls and gauges work. For more info, please see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!
Mechanics: The car runs fantastically well in both engine and gearbox and has no complaints about the drivetrain. Newly refurbished RB26 turbos were installed in 2021 with steel axles and steel turbine which are good for approx. 400-450hp, new link arms, new clutch and a new MaxxECU Race Plugin Extra (original box included). The work is carried out by recognized MotorNord and installation of the steering box is done by Martin's garage. The seller says that after the tuning that was done recently, there started to be some noise from the engine which, after diagnosis, seems to be a crank bearing issue that needs an overhaul. The seller received a price quote to fix the problem at the workshop for approx. 3000-4000 euro. AC is not working and there is only one key. Feel free to see all the photos in the album for more info and ask questions in the comment field!
Summary
A great fun and now a true modern JDM classic, among the best of the JDM world with a large crowd of fans. The market has risen incredibly much for these fine models and they will probably never get cheaper, so now is the opportunity to acquire a super fine example in very good condition and with a fine history!
