Basic information and background
Incredibly fine example of an early youngtimer classic candidate from Mercedes, namely the W124 Cabriolet. This example has rare low miles, attractive color combination and the big 6 cylinder engine.

In September 1991, Mercedes launched a cabriolet version of the immensely popular W124 body. Mercedes built only 33,952 examples in the cabriolet version. If you include other bodies, Mercedes built over 2.5 million W124s between 1984-1996.

This example is from 1995 with the big straight 6 cylinder engine called the E320 that was introduced on the later model years 94-96. The cars are known for their reliability and comfort. One of the few modern convertibles that you can fit four adults in and also sit comfortably in. The car has no problems keeping up with today's traffic and is comfortable at highway speeds. Perfect car to drive around Europe with. You really feel that these models were built with a focus on quality.

This example was imported from Canada in 2021 by previous owners who owned several W124 convertibles. With regard to its fine condition, it was mostly left standing as previous owners thought the car was too nice to be used. Current owner bought the car in late summer 2022 and has driven about 100 miles. The car has been in a heated garage during the winter.

As the car is rarely used, the car is now being sold to someone who wants one of the nicer low mileage W124 convertibles on the market.

Equipment and Options
AC/electric seats, driver's seat has memory function, electrically adjustable steering wheel, retrofitted bluetooth stereo with mic. Outlets for maintenance battery charging extended in the passenger compartment. Seat heating (not sure if it works). Electric headrests for rear passengers. Completely unopened tool set.

Genuine AMG 17 inch rims which are rare and hard to come by. The rims are recently renovated.

The original stereo remains. Wind protection is available for the car. Spare wheel in luggage.

Condition
The car is in a very good condition!

Exterior: Fantastic luster in the paint that shifts between emerald green and blue in the sunshine. Becomes dark green in the shade.

The original paintwork remains and the car has survived well from scratches and stone chips with a few minor dents.
There is minimal rust on the body and the seller refers to the detailed photos.

The rims are recently renovated.
The convertible top is complete and fine, there is nothing to complain about.

Interior: Inside, the interior is in very good condition with no noticeable wear. The steering wheel is like new.
The wooden panels are in good used condition with minor scratches that can be seen in the pictures.

Mechanically: The car runs like clockwork, always starts immediately and runs silky smooth in the engine and gearbox. The seller informs that all functions apart from the seat heating work.
