Basic information and history

German-imported Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC from 1975 with approx. 229000km on the odometer. The car arrived in Sweden already in 1990 and, according to the register, has had 10 owners since then. However, it is not possible to ascertain how many of these are actual users versus traders. The car was repainted in the 90s to red from original silver and is today in a usable condition with various needs.

Equipped with a small V8 of 3.5 liters with approx. 195hp/285nm connected to a three-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.

Condition

The general condition of the bodywork is described as usable condition. There is some wear from the years, including dents on the front fenders, repaired scratches and marks in the paint, small paint blisters under the molding on the rear window and other places, some scratches and marks on the bumpers. According to the owner, some repairs have been done to the floor and that, as previously mentioned, the car was repainted in the 90s. However, the seller informs that the paint is in poor condition today. Lantern glass is in good condition. Chrome looks relatively good all around. Glass panes in good condition. The tires mounted have approx. 5-6mm pattern depth left.

The interior is also described as being in usable condition. The chairs are free of damage and in good condition. Steps and door panels as well. Steering wheel, buttons and controls have light wear from the past years. There are various discolorations on the roof and on the sunshades, however, there is no serious damage to the material. The seller informs that the speedometer, fuel gauge and instrument lighting are out of order. The fan only works at maximum speed.

Engine is described as being in good condition. Gearbox, drivetrain and brakes as well.

Service history

Oil, filter and spark plugs were changed for approx. 500km ago. There is no previous service history and the car has no service book. The last inspection was carried out on 2024.16.05 without any remarks.

Summary

Early 350 SLC which, despite various remarks, gives a good overall impression. There are various things to take care of for the handy, and the car can be just as well suited for a summer house as a rolling project!
