Basic information and history

Bidders Highway has been given the honour to auction a smaller collection of Lotus cars. We have chosen to name this small but interesting collection to "The Triple Lotus Collection", and you will find all three cars here.

Lotus Esprit Turbo 2.2 from 1983 with approx. 7724km on the odometer, converted from approx. 4800 miles. Milage cannot be guaranteed by the current owner but the car comes in a good condition. The car is imported from England as early as 1991 and according to the register has had 7 owners. The car has a large amount of documentation in several binders and a 30-page long forum page on the Lotus Car Club Sweden's forum site. Equipped with 2.2-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine of approx. 210hp/270nm connected to 5-speed manual box and rear wheel drive.

Equipment and options

Equipped with full leather interior, stereo, electric window lifts, mirrors and skyport.

Condition

The general condition of body is described by the current owner as OK. Skyport is not an OEM option, but has been installed at a later time. There are no dents on the body and the car is also free from rust. The paint is described to be in decent condition but is done at home in the garage. However, the car makes a good impression. Windows are in good condition. Mouldings, headlights and emblems as well. The paint has various cracks around on the body and various smaller marks. Mouldings as well. The top of the popups are slightly bleached and have a different tone in color than other paint. The front rims have various jack and notch in themselves, but are not too well visible when they are painted.

The interior is described to be in OK condition. The materials of the chairs have managed well from typical age wear. The leather on the door pages has wear in the color, but not broken or cracked. Buttons, steering wheel and control in good condition. Ceiling in good condition. All functions in the compartment work as intended.

Engine is described to be in good condition, brakes as well. Mechanically, the car works as intended.

Service history

2020-10-09, drivebelt was changed, oil/filter, brake fluid, coolant, gearbox oil and upper ball bolts. The last inspection was performed 2024-08-13
