Kawazaki ZX900R, the model that received a huge boost in interest after the premiere of Top Gun, 1986. 16 minutes into the film, Tom Cruise is seen racing an F14 Tom Cat on a runway, a scene 2 million people saw at the premiere of the film. Fast motorcycles have been around for a long time, but from that day Ninja was a term for a fast ride. With its 16-valve DOHC engine with liquid cooling, the bike could cope with longer periods of tense driving.
This Swedish-sold Kawazaki GPZ 900R, also known as ZX900A or Ninja 900, from 1990 has had 7 previous owners and has been driven just under 37,560 km. The kilometres on the odometer can be guaranteed. In its combination of black and gold together with a high-performance 908cc 4-cylinder engine with 90hp and great drivability, it's a perfectly combined superbike from yesteryear.
Condition
The bike comes in a nice original condition according to the owner, but small remarks has been made, such as a small bump on the left side of the tank and scratch marks on the muffler. No remarks on emblems or anything else have been reported thou.
The engine and gearbox are described as working very well without any noise or leakage. Carburettor has been refurbished and valve check has been carried out. Brakes are described as being in very good condition.
Service history
40000km service was carried out at 37550km at Motoeventgroup Sweden AB. Previous service records are available. As a curiosity, the original sales book from Kawazaki salesman H. Flöter in Stockholm is also included.
