2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 100th Anniversary

Basic Information and History

This is not something you see very often. A 1200 Sportster 100th Anniversary, i.e. only model year 2003, with only 450 kilometers on the odometer! I other words as close to a new bike as you can get.

This example was bought new from HD Årsta in 2003 and driven only a few kilometers during its first user's almost 20-year ownership. The motorcycle was always stored indoors and is a time capsule from when it was new.

The current owner bought it in 2022 and had Probike Stockholm do a total overhaul of the entire bike and it is now in the same condition you can expect according to the mileage, albeit 20 years old.

Equipment and Options

This edition was specially produced to celebrate Harley Davidson's 100th anniversary as a motorcycle manufacturer and, apart from a unique two-tone paint, has most of what you could get on the Sportster of the time.

Rigid mounted 1200cc Evolution engine (last model year when following models have rubber mounted engine)
Powder-coated motor in silver and black with chrome covers
Chrome front wheel, slotted chrome disc rear wheel
Forward moved footpegs
Raised chrome handlebars with drawbars
Chromed headlight
Seat in one piece, adapted with two parts
Low-profile rear damper

To ensure a good sound experience, this bike also has HD's own option with Vance and Hines Screamin' Eagle pipes.

Condition

The condition of this MC is to be considered close to new. Everything works exactly as it should. No leaks, bad noises, or play in the controls.

The motorcycle is free of scratches and the tires are new with a tread depth of 7mm.

Service History

Newly inspected in May 2023
The last service was performed by Probike Syd in Stockholm in October 2022. There, all parts that could conceivably change in age were replaced, given the motorcycle's almost 20-year-long hibernation.
Due to the unusually short mileage, there is no previous service record beyond the most recent service.

A true time capsule of and one of Harley Davidson's most classic models. A Sportster with the larger 1200 engine always hits home with a big crowd and this extremely well-maintained example with its impeccable and exciting backstory is the perfect item for a collector or enthusiast.
