1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Hardtop 6.4

Basic information and History
A 1966 Ford Thunderbird with the big 390 CUI (6.4L) V8 of 315 hp. The car was sold new in the USA and came to Sweden already in 1996. The car is specified in a very nice and unusual color combination. Painted in Dark Green Metallic with a really nice white interior. The car has had 14 owners in Sweden, including car dealers, but it has been very well taken care of and is in a very nice and well-kept condition. The model offers incredible comfort and good space and is made for long, beautiful tours.

Condition
The exterior of the car gives a very nice impression, the paintwork is of a high standard and even though there is no evidence of this, the car has probably been repainted in the original paintwork but with high quality. The chrome shines and is in very good condition. Of course, there are minor imperfections due to the car's age, as well as a couple of minor marks, but overall in very good condition. Interior upholstery is very well maintained and it is clean and tidy: previous owners have sat carefully here as the wear is minimal for the age of the car, but there are 2 tears that have been repaired/glued so as not to worsen before deciding to repair. Mechanically, the car runs incredibly well, it shifts smoothly between gears, and there are no known leaks under the car. Brakes work great and the car has no known mechanical faults. All vacuum bells/hoses have been refurbished/replaced as well as the instrument lighting to LED for better visibility. New tyres has been installed in the rear. Pattern depth upfront measures approx. 3mm.

Service history
The last service was done in 2023 by the seller himself, where the oil was changed in the engine, rear axle and gearbox. The engine has been completely re-sealed because of previous leakage. The gearbox har been refurbished. The last inspection was carried out in 2018 and the car is inspection exempt.

Summary
Another one of the nicer Thunderbird cars we've seen in a long time, which was also the reason why this seller also bought the car. A car that runs great and is in really good condition. Just turn the key and enjoy the summer with or without the caravan!
