1999 Corvette C5 Convertible

Basic information and History

The Corvette C5 was the long-awaited successor to the otherwise popular C4 generation and, in addition to better performance, was a completely new model in terms of design and material choices compared to before. The model followed the same recipe with V8 engine at the front, gearbox at the back and very affordable.

This example was imported from the USA back in 2010 and only 2 previous owners where the seller bought it in 2012 and has both looked after it very well but also enjoyed it. The model is still today an affordable entry-level model in the world of sports cars and offers sporty driving characteristics, good performance and plenty of space for the type of car. The convertible roof also provides the best of both worlds with the possibility of driving with the wind in your hair but also enjoying the silence and comfort with the roof up.

The car was delivered in the nice solid white paint and a sober black interior which is in good condition.

Condition

Exterior: The seller says that the car is in a very good condition thanks to the fact that it received a professional full paint job in 2017 due to various scratches and generally worn paint. There is a small crack in the right rear view mirror otherwise the exterior is in very good condition. No remarks on glass, moldings or emblems. The “Z06” wheels are in very good condition with no damage other than general signs of use. The roof is completely clean, albeit a bit dull in color, and the function works flawlessly. Interior: The interior is in fine used condition, the black leather is in good condition for the model but has a small repaired tear and general "patina" from use. All plastic parts, dashboard and functions are fully functional and in good condition. Also noticed that the light in the driver's door is a little loose. Mechanics: The car runs fantastically well in both engine and gearbox. The recognized LS1 V8 engine of 5.7L is a real wearer that offers good performance and very good consumption and high reliability. Inspected without remark 2022/10 and last service 2023/05 by the seller. All brakes are in good condition and the tires have about 4mm of tread left. A really stylish and affordable sports car with low running costs and good performance. The car is in top condition externally and ready for the coming season! Interest in the model has always been great and thanks to the model's fine performance and great possibilities for both everyday use or as a weekend toy, it will be attractive for many years to come for buyers of all ages.
