1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Pro Touring
The list of what has been done to this amazing Chevelle is long, and the work has been done in an extremely professional and well-planned manner for maximum performance but also with reliability and ease of maintenance in mind. .
This example is a 1966 model that originally came from California and was imported to Sweden back in 2008 and has had 2 users since then. The car is very well documented with a whole folder full of receipts and other info about the build.
The car has been built by an older gentleman who had a lot of knowledge in track racing and knew how he wanted it both in terms of construction and how things should be set up and only the best components have been used. A very well thought out project with fantastic performance, good road holding and very easy to service/maintain. It has an absolutely incredible road feel compared to other muscle cars from the 60s, brakes and handling feel like a modern sports car but an old honorable body and can easily hold its own against even today's sports cars. A well-developed car in the entire drivetrain that should withstand use, among other things because the engine has dry sump lubrication so that you will not have problems when driving hard on, for example, a track.
The V8 engine is a version of GM's recognized LS3 engine that was used in, among other things, the V8 Thundercar and has approximately 525 hp. It includes, among other things, a more aggressive cam, upgraded bearings throughout the engine, ARP bolts and a racing spec ECU. Worth mentioning that even though the car is inspection exempt, it is registered with all upgrades.

Condition
Exterior: The car is in fantastically good condition on the outside with no major complaints. The car was frame-lifted and completely renovated between 2007-2009 and the chrome details also have an almost flawless shine. There are some stone chips at the bottom but nothing out of the ordinary for a used car. The Japan Racing rims are also in very good condition with no complaints and give the car an aggressive and sporty look. All glass panes and moldings are in the same fine condition as the rest. The door handles have been removed during the renovation and could be controlled with a remote, but the function of the remote is unclear. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!
Interior: The interior upholstery appears to be in very good condition and also without remarks. The black interior contrasts really well with the paint and the combination is just the icing on the cake. The dash and newer center console have some very minor marks from use but present themselves in near new condition. The controls are apparently original controls in amazingly good condition, and all gauges and other functions in the interior work. The mileage currently stands at of approx. 90530 but cannot be guaranteed by the seller. For more info on exact condition see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!
Mechanics: The seller informs that the entire driveline including engine, gearbox and rear axle works flawlessly and runs fantastically on the road. The engine has only done 300 miles and was serviced last winter by the seller with oils, filters and pins. The level of detail on the powertrain is absolutely incredible and everything is in top condition with no complaints. The car was inspected in 2018 for the last time and is now inspection and tax exempt. Please see all the photos in the album and ask questions in the comment field!
Summary
One of the most well-built and well-thought-out pro-touring builds we've ever seen. An incredibly high level of attention to detail and with only quality parts throughout. A really popular classic in amazingly good condition and built to drive. Works just as well on the street as on the track and gives incredible feedback to the driver. Nice examples like this one with such a nice history don't grow on trees and if you're looking for a "turn-key" pro-touring build, this is just the right car for you!
