Basic information & Background

A nice Swedish-sold Volkswagen 1303 S in excellent condition.

This is potentially an extremely low-mileage example as the meter reading only shows 53,400 km. This can not be confirmed with 100% certainty but extracted from the inspection report and the general condition shows nothing to the contrary.

The car is repainted in the original color Emerald Green, and during its lifetime it has received extensive maintenance to be presented in its fine condition today.

The small S-plate that sits behind (the plate) was an extra accessory from the factory and is according to the seller very difficult to get hold of.

Condition
The current owner has refurbished the car for almost SEK 60,000. All parts have been replaced with original parts.

Exteriorly, the car is in very good condition. The re-spray was carried out by Skå Lackering outside Stockholm 2019/20. In connection with new paint, all screens and wings, as well as doors, were taken down and inspected. There was no rust on the car and all the trim and rubber moldings around have been replaced. New sills were installed.

Mechanically, the car runs fine and the engine is not renovated by the current owner. What needs to be done in terms of mechanic maintenace is a standard service as the car has been stored in a heated garage in recent years. The automatic choke is open and needs to be adjusted. The car is fully drivable in its current condition.

The interior of the car is in good condition. The upholstery is cleaned after the car has been parked for many years. There is sun fade on the rear backrest in the back seat.

The car underwent its latest inspection 2018-08-06 and needs to be inspected now. This copy was taken into service for the first time in Sweden 1973-03-14. 7 users including car companies have been registered since it was new. Read meter reading is 5,340 miles. The mile can not be guaranteed as the meter housing is limited to 10,000 miles. But if you look back at the inspection history, the mileage seems to agree with the meter house.
