1998 BMW R1100R

Basic information and History
In 1923, the BMW motorrad launched its first motorcycle. In 1998, BMW celebrated the 75th anniversary of the motor series by producing a commemorative model. This model R1100R was produced in only 750 copies with the same paintwork as in 1923. Black with white lines and with the anniversary year 75 on the fuel tank and on the key case, there is also 75 stamped.

After checking with the Swedish Transport Agency, this copy may be the only registered copy in Sweden according to the seller.

This example was delivered new in Germany and was imported by the previous owner in 2011 to Sweden. Four former users.

Read odometer reading is 61,374 KM.

Condition
There is no damage to the frame or body noted according to the seller who refers to the image material.
The windshield has some scratches and there is a minor scratch noted on the tank, minor scratch on the front fender and minor scratch on the right cylinder head.
No remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems.
No damage to rims or tires, there are age-related marks on the rims.
The tires are 2 years old and have traveled about 3.000 km.
The tire's tread depth is 5 mm.
No comments on lighting.
No leakage has been noted.
Two small marks are noted on the saddle.
Dashboard and panel are in good condition.


Service history
Engine and gearbox are described by the seller as very good.
Last service was performed in 2022 by an acquaintance of the seller who has worked as a motorcycle mechanic. He then went through everything on the bike to keep it in top condition. Clutch and throttle cables are new.

There is no previous service record.
Brake pads and discs are described as being in good condition.

The motorcycle was last inspected on 2023.04.20 without remarks.

Summary
Everything works perfectly on the bike and it is very easy to ride both in the city and on winding roads, thanks to the low center of gravity of the boxer engine. The tank cover that comes with it has always been on the bike to reduce the risk of scratches. The seller confirms that it has not been driven on a dirt road.
