1980 BMW R100 RS
The BMW R100RS is a timeless legend in the motorcycle world, and this particular example is a rare gem customized by K Motorcycles in Habo. With its 69bhp 980cc boxer engine, the power is delivered with a rawness that almost only older motorcycles do.
This Swedish-sold example with only 4 previous owners since it was first registred in 1981-04-15. The motorcycle is of model year 1980.
The vehicle was acquired in 2017 by previous owners who operate K Motorcycles in Habo. Previous owner is a BMW enthusiast and had many renovations and conversions of the BMW brand behind him.
Upon purchase in 2017, a renovation of the motorcycle, which had not been in use since the end of the 90s, was immediately started. The motorcycle was taken apart in parts to verify what needed to be repaired. During this disassembly of the motorcycle, previous owners with their many years of experience with motorcycles were able to determine that the number of km matches very well with what is indicated according to the vehicle's odometer reading. The owner at the time wanted to make the motorcycle a bit sleeker and put his own stamp on it, but not make too many changes to its original design.
The biggest visible intervention and change is that it now lacks covers and the shortened purpose-built rear frame for the saddle. Another change that is not as clearly visible is that it is now equipped with a bluetooth system from Motogadget and a new voltage regulator to be able to use a cheap Lithium battery. In connection with this, large parts of the electrical system have been rerouted and the battery has been given an invisible location under/behind the engine.
Current owner acquired the vehicle on 2019-09-01.
The most recent m.o.t inspection was carried out on 26/06/2019 and is now exempt from inspection doe to its age.
A very unique motorcycle that you don't want to miss the chance to bid on.
