Basic information and history

Domestically sold Alfa Romeo GTV 6 2.5 in rare fantastic and untouched condition! In 40 years, the car has only had four users, of which 3 in the same family. The history of the car and previous owners is with the current owner and is happy to be shared with the new buyer. Previous owners are very keen that the car continues to be preserved in this fantastic condition. All inspection reports are available to confirm the low mileage of 79,950km. The car has been in a museum for 8 years and this is probably one of the absolute best-preserved examples of Alfa Romeo's fantastic GTV with the both beautiful and well-sounding V6.

Equipped with Alfa's beautiful and well-sounding 2.5-liter V6 of approx. 160 hp connected to a five-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

Equipment and options

Equipped with a factory-fitted Pioneer stereo with period speakers in a futuristic style, perfect for a car with a timeless design. Otherwise, there are sports seats in fabric, sunroof, MOMO steering wheel and a large amount of documentation.

Condition

The general condition is very good for its age. There are stone chippings in the front and some of these have been filled in. The body is free of rust, dents, scratches and door knocks. The paintwork is in very good condition considering that it is red and almost 40 years old. There is a small scratch under the right rear window that can be seen in the picture. The glass panes are in good condition. Moldings, lamps glasses and emblems as well. The rims are in very good condition with no damage and the tires that are fitted are in new condition.

The interior is described as being in good condition. A seam on the side support of the driver's seat has been repaired, otherwise the seats are free of damage. Door panels and door sills are in good condition with no usual wear. The instrument panel is in good condition and has survived dry cracks. Buttons and controls in good condition. The surface of the steering wheel is somewhat dry. Interior roof in good condition and sits where it should.

Motor is described to pull fine through the entire register. Original hydraulic tensioners are a weak point on these engines and therefore mechanical tensioners have been fitted. The third owner of the car fitted a stainless exhaust system which some times dings onto the under carriage. Gearbox and drivetrain in very good condition without typical scratches on the gears, which is a common problem on GTVs. The brakes are described as being in good condition. Mechanically, the car works exactly as intended.

Service history

All fluids and timing belt changed 2 years ago. The car has barely run since then. There is some minor oil leakage, which is not unusual for the model. It comes with a whole binder and some receipts for parts and service performed. Unfortunately, the original service book has disappeared. The last inspection took place on 2023-05-16 and all inspection reports are included with the car.

Summary

An absolutely exquisite example of Alfa Romeo's esteemed GTV. This example has low mileage, known ownership history, is well cared for and should not be associated with other GTV wagons. It is rare that such a fine GTV appears on the market.
