1958 Morris Minor 1000

Ehtel
Kristdala
Basic Information & Background

The Morris Minor is a classic British car model that was produced between 1948 and 1971 in several different versions and is one of the car models that was produced for the longest time. This example is a 2-door saloon sold in Sweden and with only 7 owners since new. It is a completely renovated copy in top condition with an incredibly well-documented history and has been used, among other things, as an advertising pillar. The car has been used sparingly and is also in fantastic fine mechanical condition, has always been garaged and all documentation is available.

Condition

Exterior: In 2018, the car received a review and full paint job, which still maintains the same fine standard as when it was made. Although the mileage cannot be guaranteed, the car feels as close to new as you can get and presents itself incredibly well. There is no damage or rust on the body. The original rims are also in as close to new condition as you can get without any remarks with nice tires with a lot of pattern and there are no remarks on the glass, moldings or emblems. "Gangster cap" is mounted and gives it a really nice piece on the classic body. Apart from a couple of minor marks, it presents itself as a new car. Nice luster, shiny chrome and has always been stored in a warm garage. The car has also received an underbody treatment. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!

Interior. A very nice interior in white/red two-tone upholstery with lovely patina but without damage or major wear. The lacquered panels are in very good condition, as are the floor mats and the ceiling covering, which fits very well but has some discolouration. There are no other remarks inside and all the equipment works as if it left the factory. For more info on exact condition see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!

Mechanical. Engine and drivetrain are in the same fine condition as the rest without any remarks and the car works very well mechanically. The cylinder head has been replaced and adapted for unleaded petrol and the fuel pump was replaced in 2022. Very well documented history with most of the inspection reports. The last inspection was in 2017 without remarks and is now tax and inspection exempt. There are no remarks on lighting and no leaks noted. Last service was performed in 2022 at Bruno Blomberg and previous service history/documentation/manuals are available. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!

Summary

A real classic from England with a uniquely fine history and in very fine condition. The market for these models has been stable in recent times and now shows a tendency to start to increase in the fine examples that are on the market. Finding a similar item in the same condition is difficult and this charming little car is ready for a long summer with many wonderful miles!
